Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a proactive Laboratory Technician to support the Infrastructure division in soil laboratory testing. You will handle sample preparation, testing, and documentation in line with UKAS and quality standards, contributing to reliable results for major projects.

The role offers a flexible working approach (office-based, remote or hybrid) with strong training and development opportunities within a growing technical services team.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Laboratory testing experience with SHE/quality procedures knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, testing and disposing of soil samples.
• Completing test sheets, calculations and reports.
• Maintaining equipment calibration and documentation.
