ASMPT Group is seeking a Software Test Technician in Weymouth to support the development of applications for emerging technology. You will analyse performance, test hardware/software integrations, identify issues, and report bugs.

The role offers training and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement within a global electronics company. Ideal candidates have GCSEs in Maths and Science, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and Science.
• Proactive, "can-do" attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Appreciation for software and technology.
• Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of bug tracking / reporting tools.
• Any experience in software testing.
• Understanding of the Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
• Keen interest in software and hardware.

We are seeking a Software Test Technician to support development of applications of emerging technology by undertaking software testing and operation of printing solutions, factory line solutions, and their associated modules and configurable options. You Will:

• Analyse performance and functionality of printing applications.
• Testing integration of hardware and software implementations.
• Identify problems and report to appropriate teams via bug reports.
• Carry out necessary tests, collect and analysing results.
• Contribute to best practice methods of continuous improvement.
• Improve the quality of an operation or process.
• Be taught to read and understand functional design specifications and follow test procedures.
• Check the status of equipment, the work environment and facilities and taking appropriate actions before commencing work.
• Prepare communications, documents, and reports on technical matters.
  We're looking for enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our team!

Do you have interest in Software Testing and looking to launch your career in Engineering. You Will Have

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and Science
