Job Description: Software Test Developer

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland - Candidates MUST be based in NI currently

Are you driven by a commitment to quality and excellence in software testing? Our client, a pioneering EdTech company, is looking for a skilled Software Test Developer to join their innovative team. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to a state-of-the-art data analytics project on AWS.

1. Promote quality and integrity throughout the testing lifecycle.
2. Ensure all tests comprehensively cover privacy, security, and data integrity aspects.
3. Partner with your project team to define and achieve test requirements.
4. Lead effectively in agile scrum and planning sessions.
5. Perform detailed exploratory testing, identifying and documenting defects.
6. Develop, deploy, and maintain a robust testing infrastructure for the AWS-based data analytics pipeline.
7. Create and sustain reusable test code and libraries.
8. Design, execute, and report on performance benchmarks including stress, scalability, and other non-functional tests.
9. Collaborate with other test teams to innovate and enhance testing methodologies.
10. Proficiency with terminal scripting and AWS CLI.
11. Hands-on experience with AWS services.
12. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity and/or Jenkins.
13. Competence in automated testing using scripting languages like Robot Framework and Python.
14. Experience with databases, particularly SQL and AWS Athena, is highly desirable.
