The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has opened within the Software Quality Assurance team for a Process Assurance Engineer to develop process-centric quality assurance skills. The successful candidate will support engineering teams on a variety of high-technology Defence programmes, ensuring software is developed and delivered to the highest quality standards.

This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact while developing a rewarding career in quality assurance, working closely with engineering teams in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Location: Bristol / Stevenage (Relocation package may be available)

Dynamic (Hybrid) Working: 2–4 days per week on-site, based on workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

What We’re Looking For:

This role is focused on software quality assurance through adherence to process and standards. The ideal candidate will have:

• An understanding or background in full life-cycle software development and quality assurance in a process-based environment (candidates from varied industries are welcome to apply).
• Knowledge of software processes and relevant national/international standards and assurance requirements.
• The ability to build strong, effective relationships across project and engineering teams.
• A collaborative, objective mindset with the confidence to influence improvements and change when necessary.
• Experience leading Project Quality Assessments, identifying risks, and contributing to monthly quality reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to remain composed under pressure and adapt to unexpected challenges.
• A proactive, independent working style that complements functional and integrated team settings.
• Ideally, a degree in Engineering or a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu).
• Familiarity with configuration management, documentation systems, and requirements management tools is highly desirable.
