Role Overview

This role focuses on deploying the software components of automated robotic systems for client companies. Deployment involves virtualisation, containerisation, and automation via Infrastructure as Code (IaC), which may be cloud-based or on-premises. The role extends beyond traditional DevOps and CI/CD, encompassing architectural and security considerations.

Qualifications and Skills

1. A good degree in a technical subject from a Russell Group or equivalent university, supported by strong A-level grades.
2. Extensive commercial experience in platform engineering within a secure, virtualised, containerised environment using IaC, applicable to both cloud and client premises.
3. Strong knowledge of AWS/Azure, extensive experience with Terraform and Ansible, and proficient scripting skills (e.g., Bash).
4. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in technical and conversational English, with a collaborative approach.

Additional Benefits

Experience in the life sciences, consultancy, or stakeholder engagement, as well as familiarity with robotics, electronics, and security considerations, is advantageous.
