We are hiring a Software Maintenance Engineer to work in a dynamic role involving Linux-based infrastructure and applications, covering all stack layers, including bare metal, virtualization (KVM), containerization (Docker/LXC/LXD), storage (Ceph, Linux filesystems), networking (OVS, OVN, Core networking), OpenStack, Kubernetes, and related open source applications. This role requires broad engineering skills to work on various aspects of Ubuntu and enterprise open source software.

The role involves addressing critical issues in the open source stack, requiring upstream bug fixes. Engineers work at all stack levels, including kernel, using multiple languages, to resolve software issues. Our team is vital to our customers, partners, and Ubuntu's success.
You will troubleshoot and drive issues to resolution, providing workarounds, guidance, and upstream bug fixes.
