Job summary

Consult is seeking a Software Engineering Director/Manager for a 12-month contract, offering £700–£1,000 per day Inside IR35. The role is hybrid, based in Warwickshire with remote work available (approx. 1 day in office weekly).

You will lead multiple software engineering teams, drive a change agenda, coach developers, and shape a transition from service to product-led models while overseeing SAFe PI Planning, CI/CD, and pipeline automation.

One of our leading clients is looking to recruit a Software Engineering Director / Manager.

Location – Hybrid Warwickshire / Remote (approx. 1 day per week in the office, 4 days remote)

Experience:

• Leadership of multiple software development / software engineering teams
• Embedding change / able to drive a change agenda / ways of working
• Leading and coaching development teams
• Transitioning teams from service to more product led focus - transformation / transition / service product models / organisational model design
• Leading Agile / SAFe PI Planning (Programme Increment Planning) and backlog management
• Pipeline Automation
• DevSec Ops, CI/CD and automation and platform engineering

Desirable - Any exposure to a regulated industry would be beneficial such as Financial Services, Insurance, Banking, Pharmaceuticals, Utilities, Energy etc although not essential.
