Job summary

Meta is seeking a Software Engineer to build and scale product experiences used by billions across Meta's apps and platforms. You will own the design and delivery of complex product features end-to-end, partnering with product management, design, data science, and infrastructure teams to ship high-quality software.

You will contribute to robust, scalable systems and push for performance, cross-platform compatibility, and seamless user experiences across devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in C++, C#, Python or shaders.
• Experience shipping games or interactive experiences to production.
• Familiar with performance profiling tools like RenderDoc or Perfetto.
• Owns a component, feature, or system with end-to-end ownership.
• Interest in AI models and their applications to software development.

Responsibilities

• Build product-grade applications and games that go beyond a core experience to a high-quality bar.
• Produce high-fidelity, responsive experiences across devices.
• Build software that adapts to resource constraints at runtime (GPU/CPU/memory/I/O).
• Integrate with OS and system services (connectivity, notifications, security).
• Create features, services, and systems to enhance model capabilities and data for training.
• Collaborate across teams to improve data evaluation and training pipelines.
• Establish ownership of a system or component with end-to-end understanding.
• Optimize applications where performance is critical for real-time or render-heavy tasks.
• Leverage profiling tools to optimize performance and resource usage.
• Contribute to cross-platform shipping across mobile, desktop, console, and web.
• Engage with platforms and platform services during development.
• Demonstrate experience with game engine tech such as Unity or Unreal.
