Job summary

Meta is seeking impact-focused engineers to design and implement scalable software solutions across our platforms. You will work directly with clients and product teams, applying deep platform expertise to solve real-world challenges in areas like AI, video, commerce, and metaverse.

You will contribute to maintainable, production-grade code and help integrate new AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a software engineer shipping production-grade code.
• Experience with open source languages such as PHP, Python, Java, or JavaScript Frameworks.
• Experience with writing and shipping reliable, scalable, and efficient code, with an emphasis on long-term maintainability, in partnership with all appropriate reviewers, in manageable pieces with relevant documentation and test plans
• Experience with software design and architecture
• Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Experience contributing to open source projects, shared code repositories, and/or personal projects
• Experience working in highly collaborative environments
• Client facing and/or experience communicating to an audience
• Experience contributing to developer and platform documentation
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

Responsibilities

• Write scalable production-grade code across Meta's platforms in collaboration with other product engineering teams.
