As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Accelerator Business, you are central to this venture, focused on delivering innovative ideas to our customers. Job Responsibilities
  1. Use domain modeling techniques to build best-in-class business products.
  2. Structure software for clarity, testability, and evolvability.
  3. Write various types of tests: unit, component, integration, end-to-end, and performance.
  4. Contribute to delivering scalable, secure cloud-native microservice applications, leveraging modern technologies and industry best practices.
  5. Participate in technical architecture design.
  6. Investigate and resolve issues promptly to prevent recurrence.
  7. Optimize data read/write operations to meet our needs.
  8. Monitor and enhance system performance.
  9. Ensure system reliability and operational ease.
  10. Continuously update our technologies and patterns.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Strong Java programming skills.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices with frameworks like Spring Boot, Micronaut, or Quarkus.
  • Experience with at least one Cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of modern software architecture patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Harness, or ArgoCD.
  • Relational database skills.
  • Willingness to learn, share knowledge, and coach team members on best practices.
  • Comfortable adapting to new technologies and rapid changes.
  • Ability to focus on long-term goals and choose appropriate technologies.
  • High standards for personal and team performance.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Experience with Loyalty and Reward platforms, including ledgers and reward engines.
  • Experience developing APIs for third-party use.
  • Experience with globally distributed applications requiring strict consistency.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
  • Experience in debit and credit card products linked to rewards.
  • Experience with Kafka and non-relational databases.
