Job description

We are AMS, a global total workforce solutions firm dedicated to helping organizations thrive amidst constant change by building, reshaping, and optimizing workforces. Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) team partners with Tesco Bank to support contingent recruitment hiring. Currently, AMS is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer on behalf of Tesco Bank.

This is an initial 6-month remote contract with occasional travel to Edinburgh. Tesco Bank offers simple, convenient retail banking and insurance products designed to meet customer needs, prioritizing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver value across all data platforms within a modern engineering environment.
• Collaborate with the Smarter Decisioning Platform team to manage and maintain the Data Platform.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Application as Code (AaC).
• Keep the data platform updated with monthly AMIs.
• Enhance automated CI/CD pipelines based on medium to long-term plans.
• Embed an agile mindset focused on improving outcomes.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong AWS skills
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with DevOps practices
• Knowledge of CDK/CloudFormation and Terraform
• Experience with Jenkins and/or GitLab
• Containerization skills (Docker/Podman)
