Job summary

Sophos across the Windows Endpoint team develops industry-leading protection for organisations of all sizes, including Next Generation Anti-Virus, Analytics, and Remediation functionalities.

As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software components, collaborating with senior engineers and supporting product delivery while continually growing your technical skills and software engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Experience coding through projects, internships, or open-source contributions.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems and reason about trade-offs.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Curiosity and willingness to own work.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement product features aligned with strategy, quality standards, and requirements.
• Develop full lifecycle code from development, testing, production, and maintenance.
• Participate in release planning with reliable estimations and delivery within scope.
• Engage in code reviews and collaborative engineering practices.
• Take part in daily standups, sprint ceremonies, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to security reviews to meet Sophos security requirements and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as a first responder in the team.
