Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting for a Software Engineer role in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, a degree in Computer Science or Mathematics, and at least five years of experience, with proficiency in VB.Net and exposure to machine/motion control software and hardware interaction.

The position involves global field support and collaboration across product teams.

Qualifications

Educated to HND/degree in Computer Science or Mathematics.
5+ years of software development experience.
Proficient in VB.Net in an engineering environment.
Experience with machine/motion control software and hardware interaction.
Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders to plan resources during design, build and test phases.

Responsibilities

Carry out analysis of software requirements according to product definition and customer needs with product development and production teams.
Ensure timely generation of system specifications including design, interfaces and product definition.
Design and development of software code to meet specified requirements using appropriate languages.
Prepare module descriptions, test plans, and procedures and other software documentation; verify compliance with requirements.
Prepare design review documentation and distribute to Company personnel for discussion.
Liaise with end users and contractors to ensure compliance with system requirements.
Support field installations on site around the world as required.
Investigate system problems from design to deployment and use.
Propose, define and implement solutions to prevent recurrence of issues.
