Job summary

Searchability in Bristol is seeking a Software Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team, building secure Java applications on AWS for UK public sector projects.

You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with DevOps, cloud specialists and stakeholders to design, develop, test and deploy scalable solutions. Some travel to London may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing applications using Java.
• Extensive AWS experience in a cloud environment.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Existing or achievable Security Check (SC) clearance.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• UK nationality to meet clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and support secure software solutions as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute across the SDLC, using modern cloud technologies for design, development, testing and deployment.
• Work closely with other engineers, DevOps/cloud specialists and stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable government solutions.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER - JAVA / AWS

• Salary - £55k up to £85k DOE


• Hybrid working - Bristol


• Occasional travel to London - approximately once every couple of weeks


• Java & AWS essential | SC Clearance required

THE SOFTWARE ENGINEER ROLE

As a Software Engineer, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team developing, enhancing and supporting secure software solutions.

You will be involved across the software development lifecycle, working with modern cloud technologies and contributing to the design, development, testing and deployment of applications.

The role will involve working closely with other software engineers, DevOps/Cloud specialists and stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions for a major government customer.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
