SC Cleared Software Engineer/Developer

Write code that protects the nation, not just ships features.

We are working with a leading global IT and business consulting firm, deeply Embedded in UK Defence and National Security, to identify an experienced SC-cleared Software Engineer/Developer to join their defence team.

You'll be developing mission-critical applications for complex, security-cleared programmes within the UK defence and intelligence community, full life cycle work, from design through to testing and delivery, on systems where your code has real-world impact from day one. This is hands-on engineering, not programme oversight: you'll be building, not just managing builds.

Essential:

• Active SC clearance
• UK resident for a minimum of 5 years
• Due to the secure nature of the role, candidates must be sole UK nationals
• Hands-on software development experience (eg Java, Python, C#/C++, JavaScript)
• Comfortable working within secure, regulated environments

Desirable:

• Defence, Intelligence, or wider public sector background
• Full life cycle development experience within secure environments
• Military transition candidates with hands-on coding/technical experience
