The WeaponX UI team plays a pivotal role in delivering key user capabilities shared across Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. We build high-throughput, reliable services and data pipelines that gather user insights and power personalization across all our platforms. We're a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative team looking for a skilled Software Engineer who thrives in a high-impact environment.

What You Will Do
  • Design and build engaging user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from ideation through implementation, testing, and deployment
  • Participate in code reviews, offering thoughtful feedback to your peers
  • Support Agile practices within your squad by actively engaging in ceremonies like standups and planning
  • Help build and maintain the Node.js backend services that power our frontend applications
  • Champion operational excellence by ensuring our services are reliable and performant
Experience We're Looking For
  • Understanding of high-quality front-end coding, testing, and development practices
  • Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience building web services, GraphQL and RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools and coding platforms
The Interview Process

We view interviewing as a two-way process and take a relaxed, practical approach that reflects how our teams work together daily. This involves reviewing code, pair programming, and solving problems together. We'll conclude with a behaviour based interview where we'll both spend time understanding what it will be like working with each other.
