Job summary

Anson McCade Pty in Leeds is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build and deliver cloud-native applications across large-scale programmes, leveraging AWS and modern engineering practices.

You will work in an agile, cross-functional team to implement microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerised deployments with Docker/Kubernetes, ensuring quality and observable production systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in backend languages (Java, TypeScript, Python, C# or Go).
• Strong exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of microservices, APIs, and modern app architecture.
• Experience with Docker or containerised deployments.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to design, build and deliver modern cloud-native applications across large-scale programmes. You’ll work on cutting-edge digital products, leveraging AWS and modern engineering practices to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

What you’ll have the opportunity to do as a Software Engineer

• Develop cloud-native applications using modern languages (Java, TypeScript, Python, C#)
• Build and deploy services using AWS (Lambda, ECS, S3, etc.)
• Design and develop microservices and serverless architectures
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery
• Work with containers (Docker/Kubernetes) to deploy scalable services
• Ensure quality through testing (unit, integration) and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment

About the Candidate

The right Software Engineer should have:

• Experience in at least one backend language (Java, TypeScript, Python, C# or Go)
