Get2Talent is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer/Technical Lead for a live Central Government project. You will lead a team, design and deploy bespoke software, and provide technical direction across clients within a collaborative Agile environment.

The role focuses on Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript with AWS Cloud, CI via GitLab, and a hybrid UK work model. Competitive salary up to £85,000 plus development and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on senior engineer with Java/Javascript experience.
• Experience designing and building solutions in AWS.

Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead with strong commercial Java development experience.
• We need experience designing and building solutions in AWS.
• We are looking for full-stack development experience using JavaScript, React and TypeScript.
• We need previous experience leading engineers or providing technical direction.
• We are looking for an understanding of software architecture and technical design.
• We need experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• We are looking for strong communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.
• We need the ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Consultancy experience would be helpful, but it is not essential.
• Due to the sensitive nature of the projects, the successful candidate must be able to obtain high-level UK security clearance.
• To be eligible, we require British citizenship and permanent residence in the UK for the last five years.
