Job summary

Altech Group Ltd in Ulverston, Cumbria, is seeking a Hands-Off Software Development Team Lead to steer our cloud-based SaaS product. The role focuses on delivery pace, day-to-day management and mentoring a team of software engineers, without coding daily.

You will enable AI-assisted development, shape engineering processes, run stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives, own delivery, remove blockers and coordinate releases while working closely with Product and senior leadership.

Software Development Team Lead (Hands-Off) | £60k - £75k | Ulverston, Cumbria | Hybrid

If your passionate about managing, helping other software developers and delivering good software, this role will be for you.

We are hiring for a Hands-Off Software Development team lead.

You will come from a software dev background, but you wont be coding in this role. Instead this role is all about owning the teams delivery pace, running the day to day and managing a team of developers.

AI will naturally have a part to play in this role, and you will ideally be someone who is interested in where the direction of AI is going, and investigate how to implement this into the team too. You don't need to be an AI wizard (though that would help). Rather we are just not looking for a sceptic.
