Job summary

Michael Page Technology is recruiting a Software Development Manager to lead an internal team of 10 developers in a hybrid Doncaster role. You will spend three days on site, guiding delivery, governance and a strong AI-focused roadmap.

You will mentor engineers, manage budgets and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with business goals and standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing teams.
• 3-5 years' management experience.
• Strong understanding of software delivery and risk-based prioritisation.
• Experience managing budgets, costs, resources and supplier relationships.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Background in software development with progression into management.

• Lead the application development team to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Profile

Must haves:

• Proven experience leading and developing teams
• 3-5 years' management experience
• Strong understanding of software delivery, workflow management, prioritisation and managing competing demands based on risk, impact and urgency
• Experience managing budgets, costs, resources and supplier relationships within an IT environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build trusted relationships across the business.
• The ability to manage challenging situations, negotiate effectively and resolve conflicts.
• Experience developing talent, identifying skills gaps and supporting recruitment, succession planning and team capability.
• Ideally come from a Software Development background and progressed into management
