Job summary

AnyVan is rapidly expanding its logistics technology team in London. We’re seeking pragmatic engineers who can translate business problems into robust software, partnering with marketing and sales to improve the customer journey.

You’ll contribute to a platform that uses real-time driver matching, pricing, and AI-driven tooling to deliver a world-class service at market-leading prices. The role focuses on building scalable systems, operating in production, and shipping value quickly with a bias

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering role, ideally in a scale-up or fast-growing product environment.
• Understanding of APIs, data models and system interactions.
• Experience with cloud environments and modern deployment workflows.

• Real-time, intelligent pricing that models true job-level costs and responds dynamically to supply, demand, and market conditions

We're looking for a pragmatic engineer who enjoys solving business problems through technology to work with our Consumer teams. These squads focus on the customer journey from attraction to sign up and work closely with marketing and sales.

What you'll be doing:

• Design and build production-grade systems that scale

• Help operate and improve systems in production

• Write clean, pragmatic, well-tested code with long-term maintainability in mind

• Tackle full stack technical challenges and data flows

• Collaborate with product and non-technical teammates to understand requirements

• Learning best practices around scalability, performance, and system design

What you'll bring:

• Experience in an engineering role, ideally in a scale-up or fast-growing product environment

• A good understanding of APIs, data models, and system interactions

• Exposure to cloud environments and modern deployment workflows

• Comfort working with ambiguity and evolving requirements

• A bias toward action, shipping value quickly, then iterating

• Proactive mindset and a want to deliver above and beyond not just what you're tasked

• Solid coding skills and a solutions/problems solving approach

• A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence beyond your code

• Bonus points for exposure to marketplaces, logistics, pricing, or e-commerce systems.

Location and Eligibility:

• UK based, able to commute to our offices in Hammersmith

• Happy to be onsite at least 3 days per week
