Job summary

Geotek Limited in Daventry, UK, seeks a Software Developer to design, develop, and test software interfacing with advanced sensor hardware and data pipelines. You will work with geoscientists, engineers, and developers on 2D/3D visualization, imaging platforms, and real-time data processing.

You will contribute to driver development, hardware integration, and software validation, with a focus on reliability and performance for global clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Experience communicating with physical hardware via serial, USB, or Ethernet.
• Automated unit/integration testing and hardware-in-the-loop validation.
• Proficient with Git for collaborative code management.
• Strong Delphi/Object Pascal or C#/C++ background with willingness to cross-train.
• Experience in 2D/3D visualization and OpenGL/DirectX libraries.
• Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or C++ libraries for data analysis.
• Interest or background in geophysics, physics, or industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain desktop and system software interfacing with hardware.
• Create unit, integration, and system validation tests for software quality.
• Collaborate with electronics/mechanical engineers on drivers and protocols.
• Optimize algorithms for real-time data visualization and rendering.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and upgrade legacy code with international clients.
