Job summary

Redline Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Surrey, onsite. The role involves hands-on software development across the full product lifecycle, from coding and integration through testing, production support and ongoing improvement in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

The candidate will work with C#, .NET, C++, Qt and Python to design APIs and data acquisition systems, develop automated tests, and contribute to release management and system integration efforts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Senior level with demonstrable commercial experience.
• Strong C# and .NET development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications using C#, .NET, C++, Qt and Python.
• Design and implement APIs, communication protocols and data acquisition systems.
• Develop automated testing solutions, verification systems and engineering tools.
• Support software quality through code reviews, CI/CD processes and release management.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues spanning software, firmware, FPGA and hardware interfaces.
• Develop SQL queries, reporting solutions and system integrations to support engineering and business processes.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
• Manage multiple development projects while ensuring high-quality delivery.
