At Vix Technology, we're bringing people, technology and services together to make transport work better for everyone. Operating across international markets, we connect and simplify complex transport systems, giving operators the clarity, control and confidence to run better mobility and create simpler, more connected experiences for passengers.
Our goal is simple: better systems, better outcomes and transport that works as one. It's our people who make that possible.
We value those who take ownership, work well with others and aren't afraid to question the default. You'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise, solve meaningful challenges and work alongside people who share your ambition to build great solutions and make a difference.
There’s something satisfying about building software that people depend on every day. At Vix Technology, our solutions help make public transport easier to use—and we’re looking for a Software Developer to help us improve them.
This is an opportunity for someone with solid development experience who wants to take greater ownership, tackle interesting technical challenges and keep learning alongside experienced engineers.
You’ll develop and maintain software that supports our transport and ticketing solutions, contributing throughout the development lifecycle. From understanding a requirement and discussing an approach to writing code, testing changes and supporting releases, you’ll see how your work becomes part of a working product.
Working closely with developers, QA engineers and product colleagues, you’ll turn requirements into reliable, maintainable features. You’ll take responsibility for well-defined pieces of work, ask questions when something needs clarification and involve senior engineers when a decision needs wider input.
Some days will focus on new functionality; others will involve improving existing code or investigating a defect. You’ll follow the evidence, explain what you find and help resolve the underlying problem.
Quality will be part of your everyday approach. You’ll write automated tests, contribute to code reviews and keep documentation useful and up to date. You’ll also help improve how we build and release software, sharing ideas that make delivery more consistent.
You’ve already built and maintained software in a professional environment and are ready to broaden your contribution. You’re comfortable working independently on agreed tasks, while recognising that good software comes from collaboration.
Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD or transport, ticketing and payment systems would be useful. Just as valuable is your willingness to understand unfamiliar systems and build your knowledge.
You won’t need to arrive with every answer. We’re looking for someone who brings curiosity, follows through on commitments and takes pride in your work.
You’ll have opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues, contribute your own ideas and gradually take on more complex technical challenges. As your confidence grows, so’ll your scope to influence the software you help build.
If you’re ready for a role where you can develop your craft and contribute to technology with an everyday purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
Join Vix Technology and be part of a global team making transport work better. You’ll work with talented people to solve real-world challenges in a culture that values collaboration, ownership, fresh thinking and putting customers first.
Alongside this, we offer a range of benefits designed to support you at work and beyond.
Vix Technology is committed to a workplace where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, fairness and inclusion. We value diversity of background, experience and perspective and are committed to equal opportunity, with employment decisions based on merit.
