Job summary

Line Up Aviation seeks a Software Developer for a 12-month, on-site contract in Portsmouth. You will join a 7-person scrum team to deliver a satellite management system, contributing across design, development, and testing within an Agile environment.

The role requires strong Java core expertise (8+), Spring Boot & Hibernate, REST over HTTPS, microservices, and distributed systems, plus experience with CI/CD, Git, Jira, and UML/SysML. SC clearance is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Join a 7-member scrum team as part of a wider program to deliver a management system for a new satellite.

• Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and test features for a new product development.
• Carry out task estimation in line with sprint planning.

We are offering a 12-month contract opportunity, with the possibility of extension, for a Software Developer role based in Portsmouth. The role is onsite 3 to 4 days per week, with 37 hours per week and an hourly rate of £41.10 via Umbrella, inside IR35.
