CMD Recruitment is seeking a Software Developer to join a busy development team in Chippenham, Wiltshire. You will work on a mix of existing systems and new software solutions using C#, .NET and SQL Server, with a focus on APIs, databases and modernising legacy code.

The role sits in an Agile environment with opportunities to contribute ideas, solve complex problems and deliver reliable, secure, high-performing software.

Qualifications

• Experience with C# and .NET in a commercial setting.
• Proficiency with MVC, Razor or Blazor.
• Strong SQL Server skills and performance tuning.
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Knowledge of EF and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
• Understanding of Agile development and software architecture.
• Analytical, proactive problem solver who works well in a team.

We're looking for a talented Software Developer to join a busy development team, working on a mix of existing systems and new software solutions.

You'll take ownership of developing, improving and maintaining applications, working with C#, .NET and SQL Server, alongside a range of modern technologies. From building APIs and optimising databases to modernising legacy systems, this is a varied role where your technical expertise will make a real impact.

Working within an Agile team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, solve complex problems and help shape reliable, secure and high-performing software.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Developing and maintaining applications using C# and .NET
• Building web applications, APIs and desktop solutions
• Designing, managing and optimising SQL Server databases
• Improving and modernising existing systems and code
• Writing clean, efficient and maintainable code
• Carrying out testing, debugging and code reviews
• Working with Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborating with the wider team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard

What We're Looking For:

• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET
• Experience with MVC, Razor or Blazor
• Solid SQL Server skills, including complex queries and performance tuning
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs
• Knowledge of Entity Framework and JavaScript or TypeScript
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps and CI/CD
