Cambridge & Counties Bank in Leicester is seeking a Software Developer to advance our transformation across the solutions landscape using .NET, Azure, Power Platform and SnapLogic. Initial focus on SQL Server and Power Apps, migrating legacy SSIS/VB.NET services to modern stacks.

You will join a collaborative team, own code quality, participate in design, and contribute to evolving applications with strong personal development and hybrid working opportunities.

Job description

Location: Leicester with hybrid working Salary: £47,500-£60,000pa

We are looking for someone to work within the Software Development Team to further the transformation of our complete solutions landscape.

Using modern toolsets within the MS stack (.net/Azure/Power Platform) and a SnapLogic middleware solution you would be a key player in our present and future applications and integration landscape with fantastic opportunities for personal development.

Your initial focus will largely be in SQL Server and Power Apps, working on new solutions and tools whilst also maintaining, refactoring, or re-developing existing .net based solutions. The legacy solutions are mostly SQL Server Integration Services and VB.Net services and you will be migrating these to PowerApps, Azure SQL and Snaplogic.

If you have knowledge and expertise in MSQL, T-SQL and associated Microsoft stack then we would love to hear from you!

About you

• Extensive experience in .net development using Visual Studio, C#, VB.Net and SQL Server T-SQL
• Experience contributing across all phases of software and data development lifecycle, from design to documentation
• Ability to identify bugs, offer effective solutions promptly, and participate in optimizing and enhancing existing solutions
• A team player, capable of collaborating across disciplines, building relationships, and contributing positively to team goals
• Clear ability to plan, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines while being accountable for results

In addition, the below would be an advantage, however we will provide full training and support:

• Experience in both desktop application development (C#, Blazor) and backend development
• Experience in MS SQL, T-SQL, and related technologies for backend development
• Experience of JavaScript for both frontend and backend development
• Familiarity with Azure services and cloud technologies
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn Power Platform for strategic evolution
• Experience of MS Access Application development
• Ability to work on various application development and data solution types across different technologies
