Job summary

Experis - ManpowerGroup is seeking a Software and Data Engineer to own critical applications and data pipelines in the West Midlands. The role focuses on Python, SQL and cloud deployments, with API integrations across ERP systems.

It is a hands-on, problem-solving position that balances delivery speed with quality and risk management. You will build data capabilities using BigQuery, MongoDB and Google Cloud, while actively improving automation and AI-enabled processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience using Python and SQL in production systems.
• Experience building and consuming APIs and data integrations.
• Strong knowledge of data pipelines, modelling and cloud deployment.
• Ability to support live, business-critical systems and maintain reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve applications using Python, FastAPI, React and TypeScript.
• Build and support data pipelines, DAGs and SQL models.
• Work with BigQuery, MongoDB and Google Cloud.
• Develop APIs and integrations between operational and ERP systems.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.
• Automate manual processes and improve data quality.
• Support testing, deployments, monitoring and code reviews.
• Turn business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to use automation and AI.
