Job summary

Methods is seeking a Mid/Senior Data Engineer to join the Data and AI Capability Centre. This role is mainly remote, with flexibility to travel to client sites and offices in London, Sheffield, and Bristol.

You will build data pipelines, improve data quality and governance, and partner with architects and stakeholders to deliver scalable data foundations for complex engagements across procurement, workforce and finance data. UK-wide travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineering experience across complex data landscapes.
• Proven ability to design scalable data pipelines and data models.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and ETL/ELT tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and improve ETL/ELT pipelines for ingestion, profiling, cleansing and reporting across enterprise sources.
• Create data catalogues, data flows and trusted source views to support governance.
• Architect modern data solutions aligned with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Improve confidence in reporting with timely, accurate data and reconciliations.
• Develop scalable data models and architectures for enterprise analytics.
• Collaborate with architects, process owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs.
• Present technical solutions to leadership and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to the Methods Analytics Engineering Practice and internal community of practice.
