Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Software & Certification Development Engineer in Lisburn. The role focuses on translating drawings and specs into production-ready information, and collaborating with customers, contractors and internal teams to ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery.

The successful candidate will interpret architectural drawings, prepare CAD/CAM data, and support CNC production while maintaining compliance with relevant standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering/manufacturing for doors or construction products.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, steel).
• Strong problem solving, attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, door schedules and specs for steel and timber doors and other ASSA ABLOY products.
• Review project and tender information, identify missing or unclear requirements and raise RFIs.
• Prepare manufacturing packs with approved drawings, BOMs, hardware schedules, production notes and CAD/CAM data.
• Support CNC programming by preparing CAD/CAM data, drawings and manufacturing information.
• Work with Production to support CNC programming, resolve queries and improve machining efficiency.
• Communicate technical requirements or changes that could impact manufacture, delivery or installation, highlighting risks.
• Support project timelines, milestones and approval processes.
• Liaise with Main Contractors, Architects, Sub-Contractors and other stakeholders.
• Assist with project completion documentation, including As-Built drawings, certification and O&M docs.
