Job description

Sirona Medical Social Work department is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Social Worker to join the Older People & Hospital Social Work services on an agency basis.

As part of the Sirona Medical Social Work department, you will have access to locum and permanent opportunities nationwide. We recruit Social Workers at all levels, from entry-level positions to Head of Service.

Position Overview

We are currently looking for a qualified and motivated Social Worker to join our agency at Sirona Medical Social Work department. You will deliver high-quality social work services to older people and their families or carers, especially those deemed vulnerable or needing support. You will work with citizens, carers, and families to promote independence and support, ensuring they are central to decision-making about their lives and desired outcomes.

Qualifications

• BA Honors or Master’s Degree in Social Work
• Registered with Social Care Wales
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Full UK driver’s license and access to a vehicle (if applicable)
• Completed Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Empathetic, patient-centered approach with a dedication to high-quality care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

The assignment is for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Candidates should live locally or within a commutable distance, as the position is located in Conwy County.
