BCP Council is recruiting a Full-time Level 1 Social Worker in the Integrated Learning Disability Service. The role is 37 hours per week, with a starting salary of £40,444 and opportunities for progression within the defined pay band.

We support flexible and hybrid working to promote work-life balance. You will work with adults and young people with learning disabilities, carry out assessments, advocate for clients, and collaborate across teams including Dorset Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a social care setting with direct public contact.
• ASYE support available for new workers.
• Experience with learning disability services.
• Understanding of social and legal context in which social care is delivered.
• Excellent communication and advocacy for adults.

Responsabilités

• Undertake comprehensive work focusing on the needs of BCP residents aged 18+.
• Support carers and undertake carers work.
• Promote independence through strength-based, self-directed support and commissioning.
• Work flexibly across locations (Hillcrest, Delphwood, Christchurch) with home working.
• Visit BCP residents in various settings, potentially across the country.
