Job summary

Slough Borough Council is seeking a passionate, skilled Social Worker to join our Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities. This role helps adults live safely, independently and with dignity, ensuring their voice and rights are at the centre of every decision.

You will build relationships with adults, families and partner agencies to support independence, access to communities and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of the Mental Capacity Act.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and write high‑quality assessments.
• Experience working with families and partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with adults, families, carers and partner agencies to support independence and community access.
• Champion strengths-based practice, safeguarding and joined‑up working across health and social care.
• Deliver high-quality assessments and reports and collaborate to achieve positive outcomes for residents.
