The London Borough of Newham seeks a Social Worker for the Learning Disabilities 25+ Team to provide person-centred care for adults 25+. You will manage a varied caseload, using a relationship-based approach to support independence while working with a range of professionals, including Court of Protection matters.

ASYE completed and SW England registration are required, with at least 2 years post-qualifying experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with current registration and eligibility to practice.
• At least 2 years post-qualifying experience in Learning Disabilities.
• Knowledge of Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act and Court of Protection.

Responsabilités

• Undertake ASC/social work interventions including assessments, reviews, safeguarding and case management for adults with learning disabilities.
• Work in a relationship-based team to promote independence and manage risk using strengths-based approaches.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues and Court of Protection as required.
