Walsall Council is recruiting a Social Worker for the Aspiring Futures team, focusing on young people exploited in their communities. You will work with families to understand needs, assess risks, and support safe outcomes using context weighting and partnership with police, health, and education partners.

You will hold a Social Work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and bring experience in child protection, safeguarding, and court-related work to this trauma-informed role.

Qualifications

• Social Work Qualified with 12 months+ post-qualifying experience in children’s services.
• Registered with Social Work England.

Responsabilités

• Work with exploited young people (medium/high risk) in Aspiring Futures to reduce exploitation risks.
• Use context weighting and trauma-informed approaches in direct work with young people and families.
• Contribute to Our Family assessments and Exploitation Risk Reduction assessments to analyse extra-familial and contextual risks.
• Engage in group and monthly clinical supervision; access clinical supervision via a psychologist.
