Job summary

Bath & North East Somerset Council is seeking an ASYE Social Worker to join the Adolescent and Child Experienced Team, supporting young people aged 11-18 at risk of exploitation. You will manage a varied caseload, conduct assessments, collaborate with partners, and contribute to safeguarding and outcome-focused plans.

You will work in a values-driven, trauma-informed environment, with extensive training, supervision, and opportunities for professional development, including Systemic Practice

Qualifications

• A relevant social work qualification
• Knowledge of the legislative framework and legal proceedings that govern children’s services
• Knowledge of theory and practice applicable to social work
• IT skills to enable operation of standard electronic systems
• Passion, commitment, and motivation to support the most vulnerable families in our area

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload of children, young people and families with complex needs
• Evidence strong analytical capability to formulate outcome-focused plans
• Write professional assessments/reports and present evidence verbally
