Job summary

Walsall Council is seeking a Social Worker to join the Aspiring Futures Team, focusing on exploited children and young people. You will work intensively with cases, assess needs, and collaborate with families to reduce risks and support safe outcomes.

You will be registered with Social Work England, hold a qualifying degree, and have at least 12 months PQE. The role offers a supportive multi-disciplinary environment with clinical supervision and robust safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with minimum 12 months post-qualifying experience.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Committed to reducing exploitation for young people.
• Experience with risk management and contextual safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Work with a reduced caseload of exploited young people to enable intensive support.
• Conduct assessments and develop safety plans with families.
• Engage in group and individual supervision; utilize clinical supervision.
• Collaborate with partner agencies and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding.
