Location: Lorn and Islands Hospital Glengallan Road Oban Argyll, PA34 4HH

Salary: £42,392 - £45,860 per year

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week

We would like to welcome a suitably qualified and experienced Social Worker to join our Enhanced Community Dementia Team in Oban, a picturesque location within Argyll and Bute covering rural areas and islands.

The role will involve working in a multi-disciplinary team and will include travel to the Islands of Tiree, Coll, Colonsay, Mull and other islands within our catchment. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of professional identity and an ability to work both independently and as part of a small, busy team.

Given the rural area we cover, it is essential that you are able to travel effectively.

You should have social work experience and knowledge of dementia. Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team with an understanding of collaborative care planning alongside other health professionals.

Working knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland), Adult Support and Protection legislation, and the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act.
