Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Social Worker in Cognitive and Physical Disability to join a supportive team in County Hall, Glenfield. The post covers adult social care with a focus on safeguarding, assessments and court work as part of a multidisciplinary network across Charnwood and Melton.

The role offers progression through established levels with salary bands and a market premia for Level 3. Flexible working options may be discussed.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Knowledge of Care Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
• Experience with assessment and risk management.
• Safeguarding and court work experience desirable.
• Experience in working with adults with learning disability or autism is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality social work assessments and care planning.
• Undertake Safeguarding assessments and Best Interests decisions.
• Collaborate with multi-agency partners and hospital discharge teams.
• Contribute to Care Act Assessments and Court work as required.
• Promote independence and wellbeing in line with service aims.
