Job summary

Hartlepool Borough Council is seeking a motivated Social Worker to join the Locality Team in Adult and Public Services. You will undertake strengths-based assessments, care planning, and reviews to promote independence and wellbeing. DBS checks are required in line with safeguarding duties.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England or working towards the Social Work qualification.
  • Recent and relevant experience within adult social care.
  • Knowledge of Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and decision making skills within appropriate timescales.
  • Committed to person-centred, strengths based practice and works with sensitivity, professionalism and compassion.

Responsibilities

Job description

Hartlepool Borough Council is looking to recruit a motivated and committed Social Worker to join our Locality Team within Adult and Public Services. The Role

  • Work collaboratively with health, housing, voluntary and community partners
  • Maintain accurate and timely records using electronic case management systemsYou will be supported through regular supervision, reflective practice and ongoing learning, enabling you to develop your skills with confidence.
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England or working towards the Social Work qualification.
  • Has recent and relevant experience within adult social care
  • Has sound knowledge of key legislation, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding frameworks
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and decision making skills within appropriate timescales
  • Is committed to person-centred, strengths based practice and works with sensitivity, professionalism and compassion
