Job summary

Herefordshire Council is seeking a Social Worker (Adult Social Care) in Leominster for a permanent 37-hour role. You will undertake Care Act Assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments, and CHC/s117 work, with a strengths-based approach to empower individuals.

The role requires a registered Social Worker with Social Work England and a qualifying degree, plus a drive to develop into Best Interest Assessor or AMHP. A driving licence is essential.

We're looking for someone who:
  • Is a registered Social Worker with Social Work England and holds a qualifying degree.
  • Has a deep understanding of current legislation and its real-world impact.
  • Possesses the drive to potentially pursue qualifications in Practice Education, Best Interest Assessor, and/or Approved Mental Health Professional.
  • Collaborates effectively with external agencies to build strong partnerships.
  • Holds a full, clean driving license and is ready to explore our vibrant county
