Job summary

Cygnet is seeking a confident Social Worker to join Kenney House on a full-time, 40-hour week, Monday to Friday. You will collaborate with service users, families and stakeholders to aid recovery, while maintaining safeguarding across a multidisciplinary team.

You will produce reports and ensure rights awareness for service users and carers. The role emphasizes strong communication, a relevant Social Work qualification and experience in mental health; a supportive team and meaningful career

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with Social Worker England and a relevant Social Work qualification.
• Experience in mental health settings or a genuine passion for this field.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, data protection, confidentiality, equality and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with service users, families and stakeholders to support recovery.
• Lead on the social care needs of service users and maintain links with agencies.
• Provide written reports to the multidisciplinary team and other professionals.
• Ensure service users and families are aware of their legal rights and safeguards.

Your Day-to-Day…

• You’ll be working 40 hours a week
• Work in partnership with service users, their families and other stakeholders to assist with the recovery process
• Forge links and maintain contact with other statutory agencies
• Lead on the social care needs of service users
• Ensure that service users and their families/carers are aware of their legal rights
• Take an active role in safeguarding within the multidisciplinary team
• Provide written reports to the multidisciplinary team and other professionals

You are…

• A Registered Social Worker with Social Worker England
• A relevant Social Work qualification
• Experienced in working within a mental health setting, or passionate about working in this field
• Knowledgeable of safeguarding, health & safety, data protection, confidentiality issues & equality & diversity
• An excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Skilled in report writing with excellent literacy skills and attention to detail
