What you will do:

  • Manage and plan for current and future risk situations of service users in collaboration with City Council colleagues, partner agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Assess and devise person-centred packages promoting independence for service users.
  • Supervise and cultivate the growth of students and trainees, while contributing to staff development.
  • Support service users and their families through complex decision-making processes, in line with statutory obligations.
  • Effectively assess and meet service users’ individual needs, fostering positive outcomes for Manchester residents.
  • Develop strategic solutions focusing on high-quality service delivery and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with a variety of colleagues and stakeholders to advance service development within Manchester City Council and partner organisations.
  • Engage with diverse sectors to promote transparency and cooperation in meeting service users’ needs.
  • Maintain precise and appropriate records, meeting statutory targets and showcasing service improvements.
  • Manage diverse resources efficiently to support continuous improvement in service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Possess a recognised Social Work Qualification.
  • Consent to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Prepared to travel to any location within Manchester.
