Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Science Teacher seeking your next opportunity? We are currently supporting a well-regarded secondary school in Northampton in their search for a Social Science Teacher to join their dynamic team from September 2025. This is a full-time maternity cover role, running until the end of the academic year.

The school is committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment. This role would suit a passionate Social Science Teacher with a strong subject knowledge and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' academic journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Social Science, adapting to the diverse needs of learners across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly KS5, depending on experience).
• Contribute to the development of departmental resources and schemes of work.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement, in line with school policies.

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Essential)
• UK-based teaching experience in the Social Science subject area (Essential)
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is preferred, though strong unqualified teachers with relevant experience may be considered
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and engage young learners
