Diet Paratha, the leading agency and network for the best in global South Asian culture, is hiring an agile and culturally competent Social Media Manager/Content Writer to help shape our fast-growing digital presence across platforms. This mid-senior role is open to anyone with the right experience. You don’t have to be South Asian to apply.

Must Haves

• Proficiency in a chronically online tone of voice, with the ability to quickly adapt content to fit platform-specific nuances.
• You don't rely solely on ChatGPT and are naturally quick-witted.
• Strong digital literacy across TikTok and Instagram.
• Strong understanding of past and present internet culture and current trends.
• A good eye for layout with experience in design programs like InDesign or Figma.
• Knowledge of global South Asian culture and talent.
• Video editing capabilities, especially in CapCut and Premiere Pro.
• Strong proofreading and editing skills.
• Ability to distill press releases into engaging content without missing key details.
• Reporting and insights skills.
• Experience managing others in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear, collaborative, and confident communication.
• Problem-solving through conversation, not confrontation.
• 3-4+ years experience in a similar publication/platform (e.g., Dazed, Highsnobiety) with examples of your work.

Additional Details

This is a freelance role, ideally in person, in East London (In-house, 3 days a week, with potential to extend remotely).

You'll need your own MacBook and iPhone as we rely on AirDrop for efficiency.

There will be a literacy test as part of the application process.
