Diet Paratha, The leading agency & network for the best in global South Asian culture is hiring an agile and culturally competent Social Media Manager/Content Writer to help shape our fast growing digital presence across platforms. This Mid-Senior role is open to anyone with the right experience. You don’t have to be South Asian to apply.

Must Haves

Proficiency in a chronically online tone of voice, with the ability to quickly adapt content to fit platform-specific nuances.

You don't rely solely on ChatGPT and are naturally quick witted.

Strong digital literacy across TikTok and Instagram.

Strong understanding of past and present internet culture and current trends.

A good eye for layout with experience to match in design programs like InDesign or Figma.

Knowledge of global South Asian culture & talent.

Video editing capabilities, especially in CapCut and Premiere Pro.

Strong proofreading and editing skills.

Ability to distill press releases into engaging content without missing key details.

Reporting and insights skills.

Experience managing others in a fast paced environment.

Clear, collaborative and confident in your communication.

Problem-solving through conversation, not confrontation.

3-4+ years experience in a role at a similar publication/platform: Dazed, Highsnobiety, etc with examples of your work.

This is a freelance role ideally IRL, East London (In-house, 3 days a week with potential to extend remotely).

You'll need your own Macbook & iPhone as we rely on Airdrop for efficiency.

There will be a literacy test as part of the application process.
