Job summary

Wates Group in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a planned social housing refurbishment programme across the area. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will manage Site Managers, subcontractors and stakeholders to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

The role focuses on occupied properties, maintaining safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while delivering against KPIs.

Qualifications

Experience as a Project Manager, Senior Site Manager or Contracts Manager within social housing, planned maintenance or refurbishment.
Strong understanding of planned works programmes and occupied properties.
Proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors and client relationships.
Commercially aware with a track record of delivering projects successfully.
Organised, proactive and customer-focused with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of planned refurbishment works within occupied social housing properties.
Manage Site Managers, subcontractors and supply chain partners to achieve programme targets.
Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to quality standards.
Monitor operational performance, customer satisfaction and key KPIs.
Build strong relationships with clients, residents and project stakeholders.
Drive health & safety compliance and effectively resolve project challenges.
