Job Details:

Hours: 4 hours per week, Mondays and Tuesdays and the occasional Friday, plus 6 hours to be used flexibly each month

Rates of pay: £13.75 per hour

Job Description:

The role involves providing 1:1 support to enable a young person to access and participate in community activities such as sports (wheelchair rugby, basketball, gym sessions, wheelchair racing) or attending events like music concerts. The support includes accompanying the individual and assisting as needed.

The position requires working mostly after 6 pm, with flexibility to choose either Monday or Tuesday, and occasional Fridays. The candidate will be accountable to the individual, work with the family, and undertake relevant training to understand the person's needs. Reliability, initiative, confidentiality, and respect for privacy are essential.

Ideal candidates are sociable, share similar interests, possess a valid and clean driving license, and have their own transport (mileage covered). Patience, open-mindedness, and enthusiasm are crucial attributes.
