Job summary

Advanced Newcastle is seeking an SMT Production Operator to support efficient, safe production of PCBs. You will operate SMT equipment, select programmes, and follow build documents within a collaborative manufacturing team.

Full training will be provided; prior SMT or PCB production experience is desirable. Working hours follow two-week day and back shift patterns with a 15% shift allowance and a comprehensive benefits package.

Working as part of a collaborative manufacturing team, Production Operators will follow established processes, operate production equipment, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support operational performance and business success.**What you’ll be doing**The main responsibilities for these roles will be to work within our SMT (Surface Mount Technology) cell for the operation of and selection of relevant programmes for our machines, in order to populate the Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).**Relevant experience*** Experience of working in an SMT facility* Confidence in working machinery (full training provided)* Being able to understand assembly build documents* Inspection and touch up of PCBS experience**Education and training**Full training will be provided; however, previous experience within SMT manufacturing, electronics production, PCB assembly, or a similar production environment is desirable**Skills, abilities and specialist knowledge*** Have a willingness to learn the new skills required to operate the SMT line* Are a great team player who works well both alone and with others* Have excellent attention to detail, dexterity, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately* Are reliable and able to demonstrate a flexible approach* Have a keen willingness to learn and gain new skills**Benefits**At Advanced, people are at the heart of our success.
