Job summary

Advanced is seeking Production Operators to support the SMT cell, operating equipment to populate PCBs and selecting machine programmes. You will follow established processes to meet customer requirements and targets.

Join a collaborative manufacturing team with full training provided; prior SMT/electronics experience is desirable, and a safety-conscious mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in an SMT facility.
• Confidence in operating machinery (full training provided).
• Understanding assembly build documents.
• Inspection and touch up of PCBs.
• Previous SMT manufacturing/electronics production/PCB assembly experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate within the SMT cell and select programmes for machines to populate PCBs.
• Follow established processes and production targets.

Working as part of a collaborative manufacturing team, Production Operators will follow established processes, operate production equipment, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support operational performance and business success.What you’ll be doingThe main responsibilities for these roles will be to work within our SMT (Surface Mount Technology) cell for the operation of and selection of relevant programmes for our machines, in order to populate the Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).Relevant experienceExperience of working in an SMT facilityConfidence in working machinery (full training provided)Being able to understand assembly build documentsInspection and touch up of PCBS experienceEducation and trainingFull training will be provided; however, previous experience within SMT manufacturing, electronics production, PCB assembly, or a similar production environment is desirableSkills, abilities and specialist knowledgeHave a willingness to learn the new skills required to operate the SMT lineAre a great team player who works well both alone and with othersHave excellent attention to detail, dexterity, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accuratelyAre reliable and able to demonstrate a flexible approachHave a keen willingness to learn and gain new skillsBenefitsAt Advanced, people are at the heart of our success.
